SUKH KAILA

Sales & Design Consultant

As a teenager walking past the frames of homes being built in his family’s new subdivision in Port Alberni, Sukh became fascinated at what the finishing carpenters could do and was soon in the high school wood shop behind the table saw. Almost 30 years later, Sukh is just as passionate about turning blank walls into masterpieces.

Sukh did his four-year apprenticeship program at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), and after seeing the look on homeowners’ faces as he unveiled the cabinets he’d built to surround their fireplace in his second year, Sukh was hooked on cabinet-making.

Over the next three decades in Calgary, Sukh honed both his craft and his ability to help people make the best design decisions to suit their needs, style and preferences. To do that, Sukh believes honesty with clients should be paramount. He also believes that the energy put into rooms early on will carry forward, so family gathering spaces such as the kitchen should be built with integrity, love and passion.

Sukh was thrilled to return to BC and join Norelco’s Kelowna team in 2018. He’s already had the chance to put his creativity and talent to work in several notable projects, including a lake house kitchen that will soon be submitted for an Okanagan Housing Award of Excellence. When Sukh is not spending time with clients in the showroom, you can probably find him playing volleyball, hockey, riding his bike, or hiking on one of the Okanagan’s beautiful trails.

Sukh Kaila Feature Projects:
