Midcentury Rainforest

Cottage - Country

Building upon the true originality of the home and bringing the outdoors in with this mid-century renovation creates a natural flow throughout the space with the unique use of materials. The essence of the retro flair of the pairings with the white AGT matte slab, walnut highlights, black hardware and the choice of adding in green with the hood makes this a one-of-a-kind renovation. The homeowners wanted to bring function without tearing down all the dividing rooms while maximizing their budget by using touches of walnut and knowing that the hood was to be the main feature in the space. The pop of green creates a statement piece to accent the old-world charm with a soft accent, which then goes seamlessly with the walnut - hence bringing the outdoors in. The new pantry wall was an utterly bare wall before but now houses all the primary storage of a pantry located beside the baking corner, which is dropped lower for kneading bread.

While the homeowners have been renovating room by room, they used their Norelco Designer, Jessica, to help create the design and capture their budget with the elements that brought forth their style and function to life.
