This hillside renovation by Helm Design Co displays the perfect mix of many different design elements - farmhouse, modern and classic, and what a beautiful pairing they all make together. Notice how the kitchen has three focal points - the hutch, window and hood. Each are able to have their own moment without taking away from one another. The style of the rail of the shaker door was decreased in width to give a more modern spin on a standard shaker style in red oak. The warmth and modern elements complement each other perfectly in this classic farmhouse design that won Silver for Excellence in Kitchen Renovation - $75,000 and under at the Okanagan Housing Awards of Excellence 2020.
