Meaning “Home of the Changing Tides,”  Hale Kai Apo reflects the calm rhythm of its Hawaiian coastal setting through thoughtful architecture and refined material choices.

The kitchen features rift white oak slab veneer cabinetry with a vertical grain match, finished in a custom Yakisugi stain that brings depth and warmth to the space. Clean slab doors emphasize the natural character of the wood while maintaining a modern, architectural feel.

A generous island anchors the kitchen and provides seating for gathering, while a metal-clad hood introduces contrast against the warm wood tones and minimalist cabinetry.

A dedicated prep kitchen continues the design language with floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and integrated appliances, allowing the main kitchen to remain open and streamlined for everyday living and entertaining.

This stunning home was built by Ali'i Builders and is located within the private Kohanaiki community in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
