BRENDA HAYES

Sales & Design Consultant

With 30 years of experience, Brenda Hayes is a professional design consultant who is known for bringing to life thoughtful, beautiful designs as well as being amazingly easy to work with.

While working for a blueprint company in Alberta, Brenda discovered her passion for home design and went on to study architect technology and design technology at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). During her studies, Brenda quickly realized she had a knack for shifting a building’s plans, particularly kitchens, to better follow the tenets of good design for lasting function as well as aesthetic appeal.

Today, Brenda still loves renovations as well as new builds, working with homeowners to design a kitchen that gets compliments and makes cooking, storing, cleaning and entertaining practical for years to come.

After a decade in the kitchen design industry in Edmonton, and a post teaching continuing education courses in kitchen and bathroom planning, Brenda moved to Kelowna in 1994. Looking for an opportunity to work with a manufacturer and supplier with strong reach, Brenda joined Norelco’s kitchen design team in 2010.

In addition to her expertise and solutions, Brenda has a reputation for excellent client communication, attention to detail and a fun, approachable nature that makes her fun to work with from the idea stage to installation.

Jamie joined Norelco’s sales team in 2010 and enjoys the relationships he’s built in that time with both team members and clients.

After walking clients through the process of space planning, designing the cabinets, and customizing colours and features to fit their vision, for Jamie, nothing is more rewarding than walking into a finished kitchen with clients and hearing clients say they love how it all came together.

Norelco clients appreciate Jamie’s expert guidance and patience as he listens to their needs and creates spaces that fulfill wishlists in a practical way. Over the years, he’s encountered almost every space-planning scenario and can troubleshoot setbacks with ease.

She believes that exceptional design has the power to help transform daily life, and she approaches every project with that goal. Kelsey takes pride in the details, providing practical and creative solutions to her clients’ satisfaction.

When she’s not putting her design skills to work, Kelsey is outside enjoying the Okanagan’s incredible sun and snow.

Kimberly Knight joins the Norelco Sales and Design team from Vancouver and brings with her a broad background in interior design, specializing in custom home storage, organization and cabinet design.

The prospect to join the Norelco team gave her the opportunity to fulfill that dream! Here, Kimberly will be able to cultivate her creativity designing custom kitchens.

Kimberly's design style incapsulates both the rustic, transitional aesthetics of the prairies, as well as the contemporary and modern methods of the west coast. Considering these styles, at the midpoint of the two cities here in Kelowna, she is able to offer mutually stylish and timeless designs that boast both beauty and funtionality.

In her free time, you can find Kimberly enjoying the Okanagan lifestyle by hiking, biking, beach days, wine touring, camping and gardening.

SUKH KAILA

Sales & Design Consultant

As a teenager walking past the frames of homes being built in his family’s new subdivision in Port Alberni, Sukh became fascinated at what the finishing carpenters could do and was soon in the high school wood shop behind the table saw. Almost 30 years later, Sukh is just as passionate about turning blank walls into masterpieces.

Sukh did his four-year apprenticeship program at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), and after seeing the look on homeowners’ faces as he unveiled the cabinets he’d built to surround their fireplace in his second year, Sukh was hooked on cabinet-making.

Over the next three decades in Calgary, Sukh honed both his craft and his ability to help people make the best design decisions to suit their needs, style and preferences. To do that, Sukh believes honesty with clients should be paramount. He also believes that the energy put into rooms early on will carry forward, so family gathering spaces such as the kitchen should be built with integrity, love and passion.

Sukh was thrilled to return to BC and join Norelco’s Kelowna team in 2018. He’s already had the chance to put his creativity and talent to work in several notable projects, including a lakehouse kitchen that will soon be submitted for an Okanagan Housing Award of Excellence. When Sukh’s not spending time with clients in the showroom, you can probably find him playing volleyball, hockey, riding his bike, or hiking on one of the Okanagan’s beautiful trails.
